General Information

COASTIE CUTTER 5K and FUN RUN will be a local run or walk that will work to raise funds and collect items for CORE Life's Operation 316. Come join Run the Tangents Timing on August 10, 2024 to give thanks through running and giving back to the community!

Please note that there are no refunds and there will be a 30 minute weather delay (if needed).

START/FINISH
The 5k and Fun Run will start and finish on the path near the Julian Smith Gazebo located behind the BBQ Pit (3 Milledge Road, Augusta, GA 30901) and will continue onto the canal towpath. This route will be paved and/or crushed dirt and may have puddles and other areas to keep an eye out for.

REGISTRATION & PACKET PICKUP
Online registration will remain open right up until 5 minutes before race time. Race shirts are guaranteed to everyone who registers by July 10, 2024. Extra shirts (if any) will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis. Packet pickup will be the morning of the race, August 10, 2024, starting at 6:30 a.m., 3 Milledge Road, Augusta, Georgia 30904.

Registration prices

Fun Run is $10 without a shirt
5K without a shirt is $20 through race day
5K with a shirt is $25 through 2/28/2024; $30 3/1/2024 through 7/1/2024;
$35 from 7/2/2024 through race day
Virtual runner registration is $35 through 8 a.m. on race day

Note: All runners who register by July 10, 2024 will be guaranteed to receive an official race shirt! Extra shirts (if any) will be distributed on a first come-first serve basis until they are gone.

Awards for 5k
Age Groups are 14 and Under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 - 79, and 80 + male and female plus top 3 overall. Awards will be determined closer to the event date. Chip Timed with awards based on Gun Times.

Parking
Parking will be available along Milledge Road and at the Julian Smith Casino parking lot in Augusta, Georgia 30904.

CHARITY:

CORE Life’s Operation 316 is an outreach to the homeless community in the CSRA. We provide a hot meal for the body and Spiritual nutrition for the soul every Friday morning from 7-10 am at the Greene Street Mission Center in downtown Augusta. Anyone interested in more information contact Charles Welch at 706-726-1017.

- Socks

- Rain Ponchos

- Boxes of Pop Tarts

- Packages of Peanut Butter Crackers

- Feminine Hygiene Products

- Reading Glasses

- Vienna Sausages

- Band Aids

- Individual Wet Wipes Packages

- Gallon size zip lock bags

- Small Bottles of Hand Sanitizer

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
(1) No refunds.
(2) Shirts will be ordered on July 10, 2024 and those that register after this date are not guaranteed a shirt.
(3) Packet pickup will be the morning of the race, August 10, 2024, starting at 6:30 a.m., 3 Milledge Road, Augusta, Georgia 30904.
(4) WE WILL HAVE WATER ON THE COURSE at each turn around point.
(5) Complete results will be posted online by 3 p.m. day of the race.
(6) Please note that if needed there will be a 30 minutes weather delay for the start of the race.
